Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is a dynamic, international non-governmental organization working to reduce and prevent violence, protect civilians and build peace together with communities in countries affected by violent conflict and its aftermath through Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP) programming.

Job Purpose: The Caretaker is responsible for cleaning all NP buildings and rooms as well as preparing a daily meal for the staff, while embodying UCP guiding principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping: Cleaning the kitchen, lounge, and office daily; cleaning the guest house and bedrooms (tidying rooms, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms) at least three times a week; cleaning the bathroom and outside toilet.
- Cooking and Reception: Cooking for the organization's staff as requested; purchasing necessary cooking supplies; preparing and bringing refreshments for beneficiaries at meetings and trainings.
- Safeguarding: Adhering to NP's safeguarding policies and procedures and reporting any concerns regarding the safety and well-being of personnel, beneficiaries, or community members.
- Basic first aid knowledge to handle minor injuries or health issues.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the team.

Qualifications and Competencies: Independent judgment/analytical ability; ability to manage information with discretion; ability to prioritize, solve problems and develop practical solutions; flexible, energetic and adaptable; ability to work in a multicultural environment; proven ability to build relationships. Languages: Arabic (write and speak); English not mandatory but an added advantage.
