Larimer County is hiring a Sustainability and Climate Program Manager. This position leads and advances countywide sustainability and climate initiatives through strategic program management, cross-sector collaboration, and strong partnership development, both within the organization and with public and private community partners. The role works closely with County leadership to design, implement, and coordinate initiatives that support long-term climate goals. While the position includes supervision of one direct report and project-based interns, its greatest impact comes from leading through influence, bringing together internal and external partners, advisory groups, and community stakeholders to advance complex initiatives. The Program Manager coordinates efforts among partners with differing priorities, including external organizations, funding agencies, and subject-matter experts, and serves as a steward of grant-funded initiatives, ensuring fiscal responsibility, compliance, and effective use of resources. Responsibilities: coordinating internal and external teams; serving as the Regional County representative for climate and sustainability issues; applying for and monitoring grants; presenting information to the community and elected officials; developing metrics to measure success; serving as lead staff liaison for the Environmental, Sustainability, and Science Advisory Board; coordinating policy efforts for CC4CA; supervising and mentoring staff; providing oversight of the internal sustainability program; and maintaining relationships with Colorado State University resources. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in a related field; three (3) years program related experience; one (1) year supervisory experience for positions requiring direct supervision; reliable transportation. This position is not eligible for fully remote work; a hybrid work schedule may be available.
