Fight Inequality Alliance (FIA) is a growing global movement organising and mobilising to counter the excessive concentration of power and wealth in the hands of a small elite, building a just, equal and sustainable world through its 10-year road map (2023-2033). FIA is seeking a dynamic Mobilisation and Communication Officer for the national Alliance in Pakistan. Reporting to the National Council with matrix reporting to the FIA Regional Coordinator, on a one-year contract based in Lahore at 120,000 PKR per month.
About the role: A member of the National Secretariat Team contributing to FIA's overall organisational performance and collectively delivering the national elements of the 10-year roadmap and global strategy. The Mobilisation and Communications Officer is responsible for leading, growing, and managing the physical and digital engagement for FIA, focusing on growing the digital support base and engagement through social media, and working with the National Coordinator to design and implement mobilisation strategies at the national level.
What you'll do: Plan and coordinate campaigns and mobilisation efforts aligned with FIA's mission; engage and implement national mobilization strategies in alignment with global strategies; create and send timely content to journalists, influencers and media contacts; research growing inequalities and map journalists, outlets and influencers; build relationships with media, especially young journalists and influencers; manage FIA-owned social media channels (Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook), blogs and podcasts; develop and lead innovative digital campaigns; build strategic partnerships with communication units from allied organisations.
What we're looking for: At least 6 years related work experience in mobilising and communication services, with preference for alliance and/or nonprofit experience; experience supporting mass mobilisation and organising key national events, campaign materials and gatherings; community organising including building grassroots support and mobilising volunteers; alliance building and sustaining partnerships; professional experience with online and offline campaigns using digital and social media platforms; extensive social media management experience; ability to work effectively with diverse groups and contexts in a fast-paced environment.
