Danish Refugee Council is seeking a highly qualified Information Management Officer - Protection for its operations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Under the supervision of the Program Development and Quality Manager, the PIM Officer will support the overall quality of protection-related data management across DRC Ethiopia's projects, contributing to collection, analysis and sharing of information in accordance with professional standards for protection work.
Key duties include developing and maintaining protection databases and MEAL information management systems, supporting rollout of standardized databases including for case management and protection monitoring, maintaining confidential databases with data security protocols, developing an inventory of documents on the humanitarian situation in Ethiopia, processing and disseminating protection-related reports and analyses, maintaining KOBO forms and ActivityInfo, leading adoption of data analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau, conducting field visits to monitor PIM activities, and building staff capacity in data quality and analysis.
Requirements: at least 3 years of experience with an NGO or UN agency (at least 2 years operational), experience developing and managing databases in humanitarian settings, strong knowledge of Excel, MS Access, SharePoint, and data visualization tools (ActivityInfo, Kobo, Power BI), and familiarity with protection-related databases such as CPIMS+ and GBVIMS+. A relevant bachelor's degree in information systems, communications, social sciences or a related field is required, along with excellent English proficiency.
Contract length: 12 months, National Contract, Band H1. Start date: 15 October 2026.
