Amref International University is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Health Management/Informatics/Health Economics. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, tutorials, seminars and skills-based sessions in Public Health to graduate and undergraduate students; providing technical assistance in curriculum design, development, review and implementation; developing, moderating and administering examinations; providing academic advising and mentorship to students; participating in internal and external moderation processes and departmental/faculty/university committees; mentoring junior academic staff including graduate assistants, tutorial fellows and adjunct faculty; conducting independent and collaborative research; applying for and managing research and health development grants; publishing in peer-reviewed journals; and supervising postgraduate researchers in proposal writing, thesis development and examination. Requirements: a PhD in Public Health (Health Management/Informatics/Health Economics) or a related discipline; training in Health Informatics, Health Records or Health Management; registration with the relevant professional body where applicable; at least five years of university teaching experience in Public Health at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; demonstrated experience in curriculum design and postgraduate supervision; evidence of scholarly publications; sound knowledge of research methodology and ethics; strong pedagogical, research, grant-writing and communication skills.
