Amref International University is seeking a Lecturer in Health Management and Informatics / Health Economics. Key responsibilities include delivering lectures, tutorials, seminars, and skills-based sessions in Public Health to graduate and undergraduate students; providing technical assistance in curriculum design, development, review, and implementation; developing, moderating, and administering examinations; providing academic advising and mentorship; participating in internal and external moderation processes; supporting quality assurance and accreditation processes; mentoring junior academic staff; representing the department at academic and stakeholder forums; conducting independent and collaborative research; applying for and managing research and health development grants; publishing in peer-reviewed journals; and supervising postgraduate researchers in proposal writing, thesis development, and examination. Qualifications include a PhD in Public Health (Health Management/Informatics) or a related discipline, training in Health Informatics/Health Records/Health Management, registration with the relevant professional body where applicable, demonstrated postgraduate supervision and research experience, and evidence of scholarly publications. At least three years of university teaching experience in Public Health, Health Economics, Health Management, or Health Informatics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is required, along with experience in curriculum design and postgraduate supervision. Strong pedagogical, research, grant-writing, communication, analytical, and mentoring skills are needed, along with good ICT skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments under strict deadlines.
