Place of Work: EWS-KT office in Bangladesh (Dhaka). Open to Bangladeshi nationals.

About the Role: Provide comprehensive information and documentation on progress of East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation (EWS-KT) activities and projects in different areas of Bangladesh. The MEL Officer will be in charge of monitoring and evaluation for Bangladesh, working in coordination with the EWS-KT Data Analyst. This position ensures the accuracy and ethicality of all data used and presented, and organizes training programs for the team in entering data and ensuring data correctness.

Responsibilities: Monitor implementation of project activities, training programs, and field activities and report progress to the Bangladesh KT Manager and MEL Manager; train project teams on the KT App and field enumerators on digital data collection tools; assist with preparation and testing of questionnaires for baseline, endline, and other field surveys; provide field-level supervision and spot checks to ensure data quality; consolidate and review KT App and monitoring data; develop reports for impact studies and baseline, midline, and endline surveys; synthesize findings into briefs, case studies, and program summaries; document good practices, farmer stories, and lessons learned; support data entry and cleaning; coordinate timely reporting to donors and partners; uphold confidentiality, data protection, and high ethical standards.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in agriculture, rural development, social sciences, or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in project monitoring, field coordination, or data collection; experience training staff or enumerators on mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK); ability to prepare clear monitoring and progress reports; familiarity with Excel, Google Suite, and mobile data tools; strong communication skills in English and Bangla; willingness to travel regularly to field sites; high ethical standards and commitment to data integrity.
