War Child Netherlands is seeking a Motion & Digital Designer (32 hours/week) to help shape the visual brand identity of the organization. The role contributes to impactful designs for fundraising campaigns, social media, presentations, and publications — ensuring communication is recognizable, consistent, and effective.
War Child is developing a digital-first, motion-led visual identity. Many elements are still being built out, offering the successful candidate an opportunity to co-create new formats and templates.
Responsibilities:
- Translate briefs into effective designs for social assets, explainers, videos, presentations, reports, and advertisements
- Create visual communication for digital campaigns and corporate materials (reports, project proposals, pitches)
- Produce motion graphics, animations, and dynamic content for various platforms
- Optimize designs for different screen formats and platform requirements
- Monitor developments in motion and digital design and advise on application
- Contribute to the development of the house style, design guidelines, and visual standards
- Support colleagues in applying War Child's visual identity consistently
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Propose improvements to design workflows, processes, and templates
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or related field
- Demonstrable experience in graphic design and motion/digital design with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience with Blender, Figma, Canva, and PowerPoint is a plus
- Sharp eye for typography, composition, colour use, visual hierarchy, and brand identity
- Excellent command of Dutch; good spoken and written English
- Experience designing for fundraising or public-facing campaigns is an advantage
Offer: Salary €3,570–€4,439 gross/month (40h basis), 8% holiday allowance, 29 days annual leave, fully-funded pension, hybrid work expense reimbursement.
