About This Role
The Community Mobilizer will provide quality individual child protection case management for children who have experienced or at risk to violence, abuse, exploitation - incl. child labor, neglect, and their families during the implementation of the Child Rights Monitoring and Remediation System in selected coffee farming communities in the Greater Masaka region, Uganda.

Primary Responsibilities
Case Management for Individual Children and their Families:
* Provide quality case management services (identification, assessment, case plan development, implementation, follow-up and closure) for children who have experienced or are at risk of violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation (incl. child labour) or are otherwise vulnerable in line with the eligibility criteria and case prioritization guide.
* Guide children and their families through the case management process (identification and registration, assessment, case planning, implementation of the case plan, follow-up and review, case closure) as outlined in the Standard Operation Procedures.
* Provide psychosocial support to children and families throughout the case management process.
* Conduct safe referrals for essential services as appropriate, and follow-up to ensure services provided were responsive to the needs identified within the assessment.
* Ensure all record-keeping and reporting is carried out accurately, to a high standard, and on time:
Community and Interagency Coordination:
* Liaise with community members (community para-social workers), service providers, NGO partners and government stakeholders to identify and safely refer children at risk.
* Maintain an up-to-date service providers mapping inventory and a multi-sectoral referral pathway for child protection case management for the geographical area.
* Participate in multi-sector case conferences (presentation of cases and dissemination of challenges).
Case Management Teamwork:
* Actively engage in all capacity building opportunities, including formal training, shadowing/ observation, capacity assessments, etc.
* Participate in regular case management meetings with the case management team.
* Prepare for and participate in regular structured individual supervision sessions, identifying challenges and areas for development.

Required Experience and Education
* Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration or relevant field.
* Previous work experience in community development or with an NGO (preferably in child protection case management).
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with children

Required Competencies
* Proven leadership and staff supervision skills, with a track record of building and sustaining high-performing teams.
* Proficiency in computer applications and digital tools relevant to project management.
* Written and oral communication skills in English; fluency in a local language is an advantage
* Willingness to regularly travel across the project sites.
* Proficient in stakeholder engagement and communication.
* Manage multiple projects effectively under pressure.
* Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities.
