The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a Logistics Team Leader for its North Afar response in Ethiopia, based in Semera, Afar. The role leads the logistics team and ensures quality logistics and supply chain support to humanitarian project implementation in line with NRC policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines, SOPs and handbooks, and with donor and auditor requirements.
- Provide technical support and capacity building to support staff, including NRC North response logistics staff, and line-manage the logistics team.
- Monitor team activities and ensure they are implemented to standard.
- Oversee logistics procedures across projects. Check procurement documents and contracts for compliance with NRC and donor regulations. Ensure transparency and accountability in procurement.
- Set up supplier pre-qualification, Long Term Agreements (LTA) and Framework Agreements (FWA) at area and field level.
- Keep the NRC asset list up to date. Schedule preventive and repair maintenance of vehicles and manage vehicle movement plans.
- Supervise warehouse management at the area office and field offices. Reconcile fuel use and other stock items.
- Prepare and submit logistics reports to donors on time. Support the logistics manager with donor and audit reporting.
- Make regular field visits for compliance spot checks and training.
- Maintain a database of records, and ensure proper filing of logistics documents, including on NRC's O365 filing system.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics and supply chain in the humanitarian sector.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience working in complex and volatile contexts, with documented results in humanitarian logistics management.
- Knowledge of the local context and of private and public service networks.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Sufficient ICT skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, multitasking, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of safety and security concerns in the local context.
