Save the Children is the world's leading independent organisation for children, working in 120 countries. In Myanmar since 1995, programmes include Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, WASH, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, Child Protection, Child Rights Governance and Humanitarian Response. This role, based in Rakhine Area (Myanmar nationals only), sits within the Child Protection team on a fixed-term contract. The Community Facilitator (Roving Case Worker) will facilitate effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of gender-responsive programme activities in assigned camps and rural/urban areas, in collaboration with Project Officers. Responsibilities include regular monitoring to identify protection cases, supporting children and community members to access services, conducting trainings, meetings, awareness sessions and MHPSS activities, supervising CFS animators, community mobilisation and coordination with stakeholders, case data entry, and supporting capacity-building for PSS Facilitators. Child Safeguarding Level 3 applies due to frequent contact with children. Requirements: matriculation exam passed, ability to communicate in Burmese and Rakhine, basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet), advanced MS Office proficiency, experience working with children using child-friendly approaches, commitment to children's rights, and fluency in Myanmar language (local language fluency an asset). Less than or equal to 1 year of experience in child protection or humanitarian work is acceptable, along with knowledge of INGOs/NGOs.
