Fixed term contract up to 28 September 2028 (with possible extension), based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Open to PNG national candidates only. The PNG–Australia Strongim Wok Long Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) (SWLT) program is a four-year, AUD 80 million DFAT investment to strengthen PNG's TVET sector, improving quality, relevance and inclusiveness of skills development. As Finance Coordinator you will support delivery of SWLT's financial operations by carrying out day-to-day finance tasks, including: processing and recording financial transactions in Deltek Costpoint; maintaining accurate financial records including receipts, invoices and expense documentation; assisting with preparation of financial reports and statements of expenditure; supporting the Finance Manager in monitoring project expenditure and budgets; assisting with payroll data review; preparing funds transfer requests and managing petty cash; supporting provincial offices with finance tasks; ensuring compliance with internal controls and risk management; supporting fraud prevention education; participating in financial audits; and contributing to GEDSI and safeguarding objectives. Candidates should have relevant work experience in financial administration, bookkeeping or accounting support, ability to use finance systems and software (e.g. Excel, accounting platforms), strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, and preferably knowledge of PNG financial institutions. Experience with Deltek Costpoint is desirable.
