Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
As Senior Procurement Coordinator you will support the effective delivery of all procurement activities across the PNG-Australia Strongim Wok Long TVET (SWLT) program, a four-year AUD 80 million DFAT-funded investment to strengthen PNG's technical and vocational education and training sector. Responsibilities include coordinating procurement processes in compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and DFAT Value for Money principles, managing RFQs, market research, supplier engagement and bid receipt, preparing procurement documentation including contracts and purchase orders, maintaining procurement and supplier registers, conducting supplier due diligence, supporting tender processes and evaluation, tracking contract deliverables and supplier performance, preparing procurement status reports, and contributing to social procurement principles including engagement with local, women-owned, youth-led and disability-inclusive businesses. Candidates should have extensive procurement experience in PNG, ideally within DFAT or donor-funded development programs, strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and PNG Government procurement processes, demonstrated capacity to manage full procurement cycles including complex tenders, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience working with suppliers across PNG including provincial contexts. This role is open to PNG national candidates only, on a fixed term contract up to 28 September 2028 with possible extension.
