As Communications Coordinator (Digital Content) you will be responsible for developing content priorities and will lead the day-to-day production of engaging multimedia content for the PNG-Australia Strongim Wok Long TVET (SWLT) program, a four-year AUD 80 million DFAT investment supporting Papua New Guinea's TVET sector. You will work across SWLT activities, technical colleges, the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology (DHERST) and the wider TVET sector to identify compelling stories and produce high-quality written, photographic and video content for digital, social media, media and public diplomacy channels. Responsibilities include planning content with the Communications Coordinator, drafting media releases, social media copy, profiles and case studies, documenting activities through photography and video, editing digital products such as short-form videos and reels, developing social media campaigns, monitoring performance and audience engagement, ensuring content meets messaging, branding, safeguarding and consent requirements, and maintaining an organised library of digital assets. Requirements: at least five years' relevant professional experience in journalism, digital media, multimedia storytelling, communications or content production; a portfolio demonstrating strong writing, photography and video production; strong interviewing, writing and editing skills; demonstrated experience in photography, videography and video editing; strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and analytics; experience producing content in regional or remote locations; and an understanding of the political and cultural context in PNG. Fixed term contract up to 28 September 2028, open to PNG national candidates only.
