The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) stands for social democracy, working with the social democratic and trade union movements toward freedom, justice, solidarity and peace, in Germany and in more than 100 countries worldwide. FES is looking, as soon as possible and full-time, for a Referent:in (m/w/d) Fundraising in the Department of Finance and Organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptual development and implementation of a fundraising strategy for FES
- Build and maintain a network of potential donors, funders, sponsors and other grant-makers
- Approach, accompany, support and advise target groups and stakeholders
- Product development, e.g. concepts for donation occasions, campaigns and/or sponsorship packages
- Raise donations, bequests and other third-party funds
- Develop/adapt internal guidelines, model contracts, compliance rules, business processes and reporting standards
- Conduct contract negotiations with third-party funders
- Advise specialist departments on acquiring project-related third-party funding
Requirements:
- Completed university degree (e.g. business administration, political science, public administration, non-profit management or comparable)
- Several years of proven experience in fundraising, third-party funding management or institutional fundraising is desired; non-profit sector experience is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of non-profit law, budget and grant law, project management and non-profit compliance requirements is desirable
- Understanding of the working approaches of political foundations as distinct from other non-profits and parties
- Structured and independent way of working
- Strong communication skills, very good written and spoken expression
- Strong organisational skills, initiative and commitment
- Very good command of standard office software
- Good English skills
Grade: TVöD EG 13. The position is initially limited to two years. Start: immediately.
