CTG is a Human Resources and Staffing Solutions provider supporting humanitarian and development initiatives, operating in 35 countries with approximately 11,500 staff. This vacancy is to create a pre-vetted roster (up to 3 years, renewable) for Camp Management Support - Infrastructure Services. Depending on client and project needs, contract modalities may include fixed-term, project-based, consultancy, retainer, remote, hybrid or on-site assignments. Potential duty stations are multiple locations globally, including the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Role objectives: The Consultant will provide technical advisory, project management and coordination support for the planning, implementation, commissioning, handover and operational readiness of humanitarian, emergency response, public health and other operational support projects, ensuring delivery in line with technical specifications, quality standards, contractual obligations and timelines. The role works under the guidance of the designated project lead and collaborates with suppliers, contractors, implementing partners and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to assess, improve and maintain operational readiness of facilities, infrastructure and operational systems.
- Provide engineering and project management services, applying best practices and standards (client, UN, donor, national authority), and conduct technical assessments of facilities and infrastructure with action plans for operational readiness and safety compliance.
- Advise on implementation, standards and procurement procedures for construction activities and engineering services.
- Supervise contractors, monitoring site preparation, installation sequencing, quality control, safety compliance and progress against workplans.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), work schedules and contractor submissions.
- Support QA/QC, contractor performance management, site inspections, acceptance testing, commissioning, defect rectification and infrastructure handover.
Deliverables: installation, rehabilitation, upgrade, commissioning or handover of temporary or semi-permanent humanitarian/emergency infrastructure; technical oversight and progress reporting; site assessments, engineering reports, BOQ reviews, QA/QC reports, completion certificates and handover documentation.
Requirements: University degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, public works, facilities management, camp coordination/management, logistics or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience (7+ for senior roles) in engineering, infrastructure, facilities management, logistics, camp management, humanitarian response or project implementation, including experience in complex or conflict-affected environments and supervising small to medium engineering or construction projects. Knowledge of BOQs, QA/QC, contractor supervision, OHS requirements, and commissioning and handover. Fluent English is essential; French is desirable. Experience in public health emergencies, displacement settings, natural disasters or conflict response is desirable. Number of vacancies: 5. Start date: 01-Dec-2026.
