Equality Now, a global human rights organization working to end discrimination against women and girls through legal and systemic change, is seeking a consultant to design a hybrid Training of Trainers (ToT) methodology for applying the Protocol for the investigation and adjudication of sexual violence cases in Oaxaca, Mexico. The methodology, grounded in gender, human rights and intercultural approaches, will strengthen the capacity of justice operators in Oaxaca to replicate and adapt the training autonomously and sustainably.
Deliverables: (1) A ToT methodological document (16–24 hours; in-person, synchronous or asynchronous) covering objectives and competencies, participant and trainer profiles, modules, ethics and self-care criteria, learning assessment, follow-up, and piloting criteria, with theoretical-conceptual, methodological-pedagogical and micro-teaching components; (2) An editable, accessible pedagogical toolbox (facilitation guides, presentations, exercises, case studies, assessment tools) reflecting confidentiality and non-revictimization principles; (3) Phased piloting and validation with Oaxaca justice operators, with a brief pilot report and final validated versions of the methodology and toolbox.
Timeline: Phase 1 (Oct–Dec 2026) Products 1 and 2; Phase 2 (Jan–Feb 2027) validation and final versions. Fees: Phase 1 $3,000; Phase 2 $2,500 USD. Remote; Spanish. Reports to the Regional Representative for LAC and the Associate Manager, Advocacy LAC.
Requirements: University degree in law, social sciences, education, gender studies, human rights or related fields; at least five years of relevant experience in human rights, gender equality, access to justice or reparations, especially GBV/sexual violence; experience designing and evaluating ToT processes for adults, preferably justice operators; instructional design and adult-learning expertise; experience producing guides, manuals and toolkits; knowledge of national and international human rights standards and of justice systems handling sexual violence cases. Knowledge of Oaxaca's sociocultural context and indigenous/community normative systems is highly valued.
