World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world's leading conservation organizations, seeks a Director, Nature Finance and Investments to serve as a critical member of the Nature Finance & Investments (NFI) team. The Director will play a leadership role in WWF's work as Impact Advisor to external asset managers, aiming to develop and influence substantial capital flows supporting nature. The role is responsible for the strategy, day-to-day execution, and execution process for NFI's asset manager strategy, including identifying nature finance fund partnership opportunities, engaging key stakeholders, and accelerating pathways to scale WWF's role in financing sustainable investment.

Key responsibilities:

Design and oversee key elements of the asset manager strategy, including goals and objectives, implementation model, partnership pipeline and external advisors; help develop and negotiate partnerships.
Identify and pursue new asset manager partnership opportunities across priority sectors, including sustainable infrastructure, regenerative agriculture, carbon finance, and aquaculture / blue oceans.
Lead deal diligence and prepare partnership recommendations, impact analyses and due diligence summaries for NFI and WWF senior management and governance bodies.
Build relationships with fund managers, public, private and donor funders, peer organizations and sustainability investors.
Represent WWF at external events, conferences and workshops; travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) to priority landscape regions in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
Collaborate across geographies with conservation goal teams, country offices, private sector engagement and capital-raising teams to advance integrated nature finance strategies.
Craft collateral and communications demonstrating WWF's thought leadership in nature finance, and work with WWF Impact management on accurate, timely reporting and budgeting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or a graduate degree with 8 years.
Experience in financial services, including private equity, venture capital, impact investing, conservation finance and emerging markets.
Demonstrated experience developing and evaluating investment strategies, conducting due diligence, portfolio management, deal structuring and use of capital instruments.
Experience working with multilateral and bilateral finance institutions, including development finance institutions and development banks.
Sector expertise in one or more WWF priority areas (regenerative agriculture and food systems, blue economy/aquaculture, sustainable infrastructure, forestry); experience in Latin America, Africa, Asia or other emerging markets preferred.
Knowledge of investment instruments, term sheets, blended finance and deal structuring; financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; a second language (ideally Spanish or Portuguese) is a significant plus.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities; commitment to nature conservation and an inclusive culture.
