Consultancy for Developing an Animated Awareness Video on Labour Rights in Jordan
Location: Amman, Jordan
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) based in Jordan seeks proposals from a consultant to develop an animated awareness video on selected topics related to Jordanian Labour Law and workers' rights and protections, developed in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, to provide workers with accessible information on their rights, obligations, and available protection mechanisms. The purpose is to develop one animated awareness video, up to three minutes, targeting workers in Jordan including refugees and other vulnerable workers. The consultant will develop the script and storyboard, produce the animation and Arabic voice-over, add English subtitles, and complete final editing, incorporating feedback from DRC and the Ministry of Labour, delivering the final video plus all editable/source files. Scope of work includes confirming the selected labour law topic, developing the video concept and script, developing a storyboard, producing the animated video with Arabic voice-over and captions and English subtitles, incorporating revisions, and finalizing delivery in MP4 4K format. Duration is no more than 4 weeks, to be completed by 31 October 2026. Payment is phased: 30% after script development, 30% after storyboard/animation draft, 40% after final approved video. Desirable experience includes developing awareness or educational videos, knowledge of labour rights or protection-related content, and prior work with NGOs, UN agencies, or government institutions. Required qualifications: a degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Film Production, Visual Communication, or a related field; at least 4 years of proven experience in animation and video production including script development, storyboarding, animation, voice-over, subtitling, and editing; strong visual storytelling and video editing skills; ability to present legal/technical information clearly; good understanding of the Jordanian context; fluency in spoken and written Arabic and excellent English, particularly for subtitling. The consultant must be authorised to work in Jordan and provide their own computer and equipment.
