Place: Amman, Jordan, with travels to Palestine, depending on access. Starting date: September 1st 2026. Duration of contract: 12 months. Humanity & Inclusion is an independent and impartial aid organisation working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster, alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations. HI Palestine operates as a stand-alone program under the Emergency Division, with Coordination split between Jerusalem and Amman, a West Bank area office in Ramallah, and a Gaza area office. The mission's operational strategy relies on 4 pillars: Health (Rehabilitation and P&O), Armed Violence Reduction, Atlas Logistics, and Education. Reporting to the Country Director, the Operations Manager ensures effective implementation, quality, and coherence of HI's Palestine programme, providing strategic and operational leadership, directly supervising Area Managers and the EOD Chief of Operations, and coordinating with technical and support teams. Responsibilities include: leading planning and coordination of field operations; supervising and supporting Area Managers and EOD Chief of Operations; serving as the link between field teams and support services (logistics, finance, HR, security); monitoring project delivery and donor compliance; promoting harmonized monitoring tools; contributing to project design and feasibility; and capacity building for Project and Area Managers. Requirements: 5 years of experience in humanitarian emergency responses, including at least 3 years as Area Manager and/or Operations Manager; strong coaching and remote management skills; mastery of project cycle management and emergency donors; ability to manage stress and support a team; proficiency in spoken Arabic is a strong asset.
