The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Technical Field Manager (TFM) to provide technical leadership, operational management, and quality assurance of HMA activities in South Sudan. The TFM ensures safe, effective implementation of BAC, EOD, NTS, EORE and other HMA operations in compliance with IMAS, South Sudan National Technical Standards and Guidelines, DRC SOPs, and donor requirements. Responsibilities include leading planning and supervision of HMA operations, advising the HMA Operations Manager, coordinating with Technical Field Managers, Team Leaders and Supervisors, managing day-to-day field implementation, coordinating with NMAA, UNMAS, authorities and humanitarian partners, overseeing logistics and field office functioning, and supervising and mentoring staff including Team Leaders and national staff. Requirements: degree in Engineering, Humanitarian Mine Action, Military Science or related field desirable; mandatory EOD Level 3 certification; IMAS qualifications; minimum seven years of progressively responsible HMA experience including technical management of BAC, EOD, NTS and/or EORE operations; minimum three years in a technical management or supervisory role; current or previous UNMAS South Sudan accreditation as EOD Operator Level 3 or ability to obtain it immediately upon deployment; extensive operational experience in South Sudan; experience in QA/QC, operational planning and technical supervision; experience delivering training and mentoring national staff; experience in remote, insecure environments. Fluent written and spoken English required; Arabic desirable. Contract length 8 months, Band F, work location Juba (Roving), start date ASAP.
