The HMA Specialist - EORE is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, quality assurance, and monitoring of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education activities under DRC's Humanitarian Mine Action Programme. The role provides technical guidance, mentoring, quality assurance, and capacity-building support to DRC and partner EORE teams to ensure activities align with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), South Sudan National Technical Standards and Guidelines, DRC SOPs, and donor requirements. Responsibilities include developing work plans and reports, conducting needs assessments and quality assurance visits, delivering training for EORE operators, supporting SOP and IEC material development, coordinating with national authorities, local authorities, communities and other mine action actors, and escalating operational, safeguarding, and security concerns. Requires a university degree or equivalent, a recognised EORE qualification, minimum 3 years' relevant experience in EORE or Humanitarian Mine Action, knowledge of IMAS and NTSGs, strong coordination and report-writing skills, and willingness to work in remote, insecure environments. Fluent English mandatory; Arabic and/or local South Sudanese languages desirable. Contract length 8 months, Band G, start date ASAP. Female candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
