The position of Sustainable Solutions Officer is assigned to the Türkiye Resident Mission (TURM) within the Central and West Asia Regional Department (CWRD), based in Ankara, Türkiye. The role reports to a designated Technical International staff and/or officer in TURM and in the Climate Change Strategy and Engagement Division (CCSE) of the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD). The Sustainable Solutions Officer provides technical and administrative support ensuring ADB operations in Türkiye contribute to the country's and ADB's climate change agenda, engaging with ADB's clients and team members on upstream analysis, country partnership strategy development, and annual country programming. Key responsibilities include: integrating climate priorities on adaptation, low carbon transition, and disaster risk management into country partnership strategy and programming; supporting engagement with implementing agencies and ministries on climate operations; supporting project development, programming, and implementation across sovereign and private sector operations; supporting policy dialogue with government counterparts on climate issues; tracking global climate issues and undertaking research, data collection, and analysis; providing technical inputs to develop, process, implement, and monitor climate change investment projects, technical assistance, strategies, and frameworks; supporting climate finance mobilization and monitoring; contributing to knowledge generation and management including communication plans, learning activities, and international forums; and coordinating climate-related work and accomplishment reports with colleagues.
