Tearfund South Sudan seeks a Project Manager-HSTP to lead implementation of the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP) in Bor South, Duk and Twic East Counties (Lot 9), funded by MDTF/World Bank through UNICEF and led by South Sudan's National Ministry of Health. The role is based in Bor South County with frequent travel to field bases in Duk and Twic East Counties. This position is open to South Sudanese nationals only.

Requirements: BSc in Public Health; knowledge of health systems strengthening across all WHO pillars for county health department capacity development; at least two years' proven technical experience implementing health-related projects in South Sudan; experience with NGOs, programme management, and humanitarian response.

Skills: good oral and written reporting skills in English; excellent communication, report writing and facilitation skills; ability to manage staff in a consultative and supportive manner; knowledge of MS Word and Excel; ability to take command of situations and make decisions; ability to speak Arabic; ability to drive a vehicle with a valid permit.

Personal qualities: trustworthy, responsible, willing to work under minimum supervision, a flexible team player with cross-cultural sensitivity, willing to travel and operate in basic conditions, patient and tolerant.
