Location: Khartoum, Sudan
This is a management role within DRC Sudan leading internal coordination and project management of DRC Sudan's portfolio of HMA (Humanitarian Mine Action) projects, including grants and commercial contracts. Key objectives: financial and implementation management of projects including project financial management, risk, governance, compliance, and internal/external reporting; liaising across HMA, programme, supply chain, grants, partnerships and finance departments to ensure coordinated, on-time, on-budget delivery; supporting the Head of HDP with fundraising for grants and commercial contracts, including budgets, workplans and timelines. Responsibilities include project operations management, project development and quality management, financial management (including serving as Budget Holder), supply chain and asset management, partner oversight, external engagement and representation, and personnel management of the HMA support unit. Requirements: degree in development, accounting, business management or related field; at least 3 years' experience in international development/humanitarian assistance with progressive responsibility in project, programme or grants management; demonstrated financial management experience; at least 5 years' project management experience in the nonprofit or humanitarian sector; experience in humanitarian demining sector a plus; experience with commercial contracts in the aid/development sector; excellent organizational, planning and communication skills; proficiency in written and spoken English. One-year contract with possibility of extension, expatriate terms, start date November 2026.
