SNV Nigeria is seeking a dynamic and digitally savvy Communications Intern for an Internship/National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) placement within its Country Programme, to support communications, branding and marketing materials. The intern will be based in Abuja, working with the Communication team and Country Programme team, including Programme Managers, Advisors and project teams across SNV Nigeria's portfolio. Reporting to the Country Director, responsibilities include: supporting development of engaging content (images, infographics) for SNV Nigeria's digital platforms (website, ViVa Engage, Facebook, Instagram); supporting development of impact and success stories for reports, newsletters, factsheets and visibility materials; supporting application of corporate brand on promotional activities; collaborating on basic graphics, presentations and short videos; monitoring digital engagement and supporting analytics/reporting; capturing and organising photographs/videos on SharePoint; supporting documentation of workshops, field visits and stakeholder meetings; and assisting with programme documentation and digital records. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Communication, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, Marketing, Development Studies or related field; NYSC member with valid deployment to Abuja, or graduate with a maximum of 1 year post-NYSC work experience. Candidates should have storytelling skills with a visual eye, strong writing and verbal communication skills, familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Canva, Trello or Hootsuite, and good knowledge of Microsoft Office/365. This is a 12-month learning placement, applicable to Nigeria nationals only, with an expected start date of October 1, 2026.
