EUROJUST is seeking a Legal Officer (Ref. 26/EJ/05, Function group/grade AD 5) for a contract of up to five years, with possibility of renewal. Candidates must have completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma; no minimum years of professional experience are required beyond this. Required experience and knowledge include proven professional experience in tasks comparable to those listed under key accountabilities, with the Selection Board assessing the range of duties covered, the type and level of work done, and its relevance to the vacancy; a university degree in law; and knowledge of the latest legal and policy developments relating to the gathering of electronic evidence in the context of criminal investigations and prosecutions. Advantageous criteria include professional experience in digital criminal investigations, including relevant legal frameworks and procedures to obtain electronic evidence; knowledge of public-private cooperation mechanisms, including with service providers, particularly in gathering electronic evidence in criminal investigations; knowledge of legal frameworks relating to judicial and law enforcement cooperation in the EU; and work experience gained in a similar multicultural environment, with preference given to experience gained abroad.
