SNV and Unilever are collaborating through the HORAS Hub project to promote a sustainable, inclusive, and traceable palm oil sector, implemented 2023-2028 in North Sumatra, delivering services to around 20,000 smallholders across seven districts. The District Focal Point coordinates project implementation at the district level, ensuring effective delivery of activities, stakeholder engagement, and field-level data management. Key activities include supporting training delivery, coaching, and technical guidance on sustainable palm oil and regenerative agriculture practices; coordinating with farmer groups, cooperatives, local governments, mills, and implementing partners; collecting, verifying, and managing field-level data; contributing to project reporting; and identifying opportunities to improve field implementation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in agriculture, forestry, environmental studies, development studies, social sciences, public policy, or related field; minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience in field-based development projects, preferably related to smallholder farmer empowerment, sustainable agriculture, palm oil, or rural livelihoods; experience within the palm oil value chain strongly preferred; experience working with local organisations and stakeholders including government, farmer groups, cooperatives, civil society, and local businesses; experience facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings or workshops; strong coordination and organisational skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Indonesian native speaker with good working proficiency in English. Contract duration is 1 year with possible extension, desired start date October/November 2026.
