LawAI is an independent think tank that researches and advises on the legal challenges posed by artificial intelligence, conducting research at the intersection of AI, law, and policy and advising governments, research organizations, and private actors. We're hiring an Executive Assistant to provide dedicated, personalized support to our Managing Director of US Law & Policy, someone who can make decisions, not just manage a diary — deciding what's urgent, acting on the Director's behalf where it makes sense, and catching things before they become problems. Responsibilities include: proactively managing the Director's calendar and protecting focus time; researching and preparing meeting briefs and background materials; drafting substantive correspondence on the Director's behalf; owning project deadlines end-to-end and flagging risk early; handling day-to-day IT matters and coordinating with the Ops team; horizon-scanning for beneficial programs and opportunities; arranging domestic and international travel and processing reimbursements; supporting the wider team during crunch-time events and organizing retreats; nudging staff on HR-related admin; and maintaining CRM systems. Candidates should be sharp, have strong written communication, be comfortable supporting a senior stakeholder in a fast-moving policy environment, proactive, highly organized, discreet with sensitive information, and available during US working hours. Prior EA/PA experience and familiarity with AI policy/governance are beneficial but not required. Salary range $70,000–$100,000 depending on experience and location. Benefits include 5 weeks PTO, 12 weeks paid parental leave, retirement matching, health insurance, and professional development/wellness reimbursement funds.
