LAW is seeking a dynamic consultant to help make justice more accessible to the Rohingya community. Through the dissemination of engaging and visually accessible learning materials, you will help spark meaningful conversations on international justice, transitional justice and accountability. You will also gather community feedback to assess how the materials are strengthening knowledge, awareness and understanding.
 
About LAW: Legal Action Worldwide is an independent non-profit organisation comprised of creative human rights lawyers and jurists, united in the belief that those who have experienced human rights violations and international crimes should receive targeted, survivor-centred, gender-competent and trauma-informed support to access the justice they deserve. Across 18 countries, LAW undertakes creative accountability strategies, including strategic litigation at national, regional and international levels. In Bangladesh, LAW's Rohingya Crisis programme seeks to ensure meaningful Rohingya participation in ongoing international justice processes concerning Myanmar, including the ICJ case (The Gambia v. Myanmar), the ICC Office of the Prosecutor investigation, proceedings in Argentina under universal jurisdiction, and the work of the IIMM.
 
The Position: LAW has been running an information campaign raising awareness about international justice and the ongoing cases pertaining to atrocities committed against the Rohingya in Myanmar. LAW is now seeking a consultant to oversee dissemination of a new series of learning materials within the Rohingya refugee community and to conduct a follow-up feedback survey to assess impact and knowledge development.
 
Reports to: Acting Programme Manager. Location: Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, with regular travel to Ukhiya and the Camps. Duration: Consultancy Agreement (maximum 3 months). Rates: Competitive daily rates apply. Deliverables to be completed by November-December 2026.
 
Deliverables:
(1) Dissemination of Learning Materials - inception call to define dissemination plan and target audience; train and coordinate a team of facilitators; disseminate materials through identified channels; submit evidence/documentation of dissemination.
 
(2) Feedback Survey - prepare a feedback survey of the audience reached to assess improvement in understanding; train and coordinate facilitators to collect feedback; provide a report on the dissemination process and feedback received; report to LAW finance with all administrative and financial documents, equipment and expense reports.
 
About you: Proven experience working with refugees, displaced populations or conflict-affected communities, preferably with the Rohingya or Myanmar-affected population; experience designing and implementing awareness-raising activities and training/coordinating facilitators to disseminate complex information in an accessible and culturally appropriate manner; demonstrated ability to develop feedback surveys, coordinate data collection, analyse changes in knowledge or understanding, and produce clear, evidence-based narrative and analytical reports; strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, informed consent, data protection, and survivor-centred/Do No Harm approaches; excellent communication, facilitation, coordination and organisational skills, with proficiency in English. Knowledge of Rohingya would be an advantage.
