Tearfund is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager in the Mozambique Country Office. As part of the senior leadership team, the Programme Manager is to be based close to field operational areas and is responsible for managing the programmes and field-based operations for Tearfund in Mozambique. He/she will assist the Country Director in the leadership and management of Tearfund's project work and a portfolio of partners, ensuring the effective design, assessment, resourcing and monitoring of projects in support of the delivery of Tearfund's Mozambique country strategy, while ensuring projects reflect Tearfund Quality Standard commitments. The Programme Manager is responsible for field compliance with Tearfund's Logistics policies and procedures, compliance with donor guidelines and regulations, and providing support on Grant Management and internal and donor reporting. The role requires commitment to Tearfund's Mission, Values and Beliefs.
Requirements: relevant senior-level field management experience in multi-sector, multi-funded relief and development programmes; proven strategic planning and emergency programme and project management experience in both development and humanitarian environments; application of good practice standards (SPHERE, Core Humanitarian Standard, Red Cross Codes of Conduct); donor relationship and grant management; significant ability in project cycle management and evaluation, and budget development and management; oral and written proficiency in Portuguese and English; and ability to work with children and vulnerable adults safely in accordance with Tearfund Safeguarding Policy. This is a fixed-term contract of 1 year based in Pemba City, Cabo Delgado Province, with a possibility of renewal. Annual Basic Salary of 3,958,226 MZN per annum.
