The Manager, Partnerships, will help AECF deliver its ambitions by securing new funding and building strong partnerships for the recently created blended finance vehicle AECF Capital. The role identifies and pursues opportunities, develops strong and fundable proposals, manages key partner relationships, and coordinates internal teams to deliver high-quality partnership engagements. Key responsibilities span business development and fundraising (identifying and pursuing new financing opportunities aligned with AECF Capital's blended finance mandate, developing strong proposals and partnership offerings, designing catalytic funding approaches with partners such as DFIs, maintaining and growing existing fundraising streams, developing Resource Mobilization SOPs, and managing financing relationship/business development events); partnerships development (managing priority partner relationships, building new strategic partnerships with funders, representing AECF in partner meetings and sector forums, connecting program delivery to partnership opportunities, and implementing donor relations/stewardship strategies); and team management (managing and supporting partnerships team delivery and improving processes for the partnership pipeline). The suitable candidate should have at least 6-8 years' relevant experience, five of which must relate to professional experience in strategic partnerships and fundraising from major government donors, multilateral agencies, corporate donors, and/or foundations and DFIs; strong networking and relationship-building skills; experience in data-driven decision-making; a proven record of success in partnership building; familiarity with the international development sector and blended finance; strong team and project management skills; and excellent writing and communication skills. Fluency in English & French is required.
