America Is All In (All In) demonstrates the strength and potential of subnational leadership on climate change in the United States. Founded in 2017 in response to the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, All In works with U.S. cities, states, tribal nations, businesses, schools, and institutions of faith, health, and culture. All In is focused on building partnerships with domestic partners and global allies, demonstrating continued progress at the state and local levels, and elevating U.S. subnational climate leadership on the international stage.

The Director, Research and Learning will develop and execute All In's research strategy, including All In-commissioned and supported research, collaborations with various institutions, and support for the research and data needs of All In's partners. This role is critical in building All In as a trusted source on the state of U.S. subnational climate and clean energy action, providing credible data products for both domestic and international audiences. The Director will identify research gaps and opportunities, develop an information/learning hub to centralize research, and document the impact of subnational climate action. Reports to the Deputy Executive Director.

Key responsibilities: lead development of a research agenda and strategy; oversee branded and co-branded research projects, managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation; commission research and work with partners on methods, data collection, and dissemination; align research with key climate events (NY Climate Week, COP); steward research partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks; develop a learning hub; represent All In in coalitions and events; monitor field trends; and support research-informed communications.

Qualifications: 7+ years of experience with a background in academic and/or applied research in climate and clean energy policy; master's degree in a relevant field preferred; experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder research projects; familiarity with international research reports and forums (UNFCCC); commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; willingness to be flexible in a start-up environment. Employer of record: The Climate Power Education Fund. Full salary range $129,500–$165,896 depending on years of experience.
