World Relief California seeks a Major Gifts Officer to manage a portfolio of approximately 100 to 125+ major gift donors and prospects. This person will be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, developing and implementing initiatives to identify, cultivate and solicit prospects with significant philanthropic capacity to ensure a strong base of financial support. The role works with the Advancement Department to build a strong portfolio of prospects and engage them via the moves management process. Hybrid schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm; 3 days onsite and 2 work-from-home days.

Responsibilities include: designing and implementing data-informed strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit high-capacity donors for major gifts ($10K+); managing and growing a portfolio of major donors; leading face-to-face donor solicitations; providing stewardship; partnering on legacy/planned giving; collaborating with executive and programmatic leadership; developing donor-facing materials (proposals, solicitation packages, investment decks, stewardship reports); and using the donor CRM to track and optimize donor activity and reporting.

Requirements: mature and personal Christian faith; commitment to World Relief's mission, vision and values; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; at least 8-10 years of fundraising experience with 3-5 years cultivating individual gifts; strong oral and written communication skills; computer proficiency including Microsoft Office 365 and fundraising databases (Raiser's Edge preferred); valid driver's license; travel up to 25% domestically. Salary: $79,241.58 - $86,423.04 a year.
