C40 is a network of nearly 100 mayors of the world's leading cities working to confront the climate crisis and build healthy, equitable and resilient communities, using a science-based and people-focused approach to help limit global heating to 1.5°C. The C40 IT team provides support to about 500 staff members in over 40 countries, primarily remotely, with support teams based in New York and London on a cloud-based infrastructure.
The IT Helpdesk Technician will be responsible for addressing day-to-day helpdesk tickets; reviewing inventory needs; monitoring and proactively managing computers and phones; supporting and helping to implement security procedures; and addressing special IT projects as necessary. Reporting to the Senior Helpdesk Technician, the role works closely with the IT Team and Corporate Services department to plan and implement strategic IT projects.
Responsibilities include: addressing incoming IT Helpdesk tickets to high service standards; supporting staff in Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office, Asana, Okta and Zoom in a macOS and iOS environment; managing Apple computers and iPhones through Jamf Pro; using a remote support solution (BeyondTrust); setting up and shipping laptops and onboarding new employees; managing antivirus solutions (Sophos); managing physical inventory and IT supplies in the London office; facilitating monthly All Staff Call meetings; and helping design and perform staff IT training sessions.
Person specification: demonstrable experience supporting Macs and iPhones in an organisational setting; experience with project teams, helpdesk ticketing systems, and cloud-based infrastructure; maintaining macOS and iOS devices at enterprise level; strong communication skills; ability to prioritise and manage complex tickets. Knowledge of Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Asana, Slack, Zoom and Jamf Pro, international experience, and previous non-profit or governmental sector experience are desirable. Salary is Grade 5, GBP £46,256 gross per annum, on an indefinite contract.
