The Senior Investment Director provides senior leadership and hands-on execution across the full private equity life cycle – origination, underwriting, structuring, execution, portfolio value creation, and exits – to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns for the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund's (IAF) equity and quasi-equity investments. The role operates at near-Partner level, representing the Fund with CEOs, shareholders, regulators, co-investors and LPs, and leading complex transactions from ideation through to realization. Responsibilities: build and own a proprietary pipeline across priority infrastructure themes (power & energy; transport & logistics; water & sanitation; digital & social infrastructure); lead evaluation and execution of equity/quasi-equity investments with focus on high IRRs and downside protection; drive investment cases to IC approval; lead negotiations and documentation (loan/intercreditor agreements, SPA, SSA, SHA); hold senior responsibility for post-investment stewardship including board representation and value creation plans; own and drive exit strategy including sell-side processes; build senior relationships with co-investors, DFIs/LPs, governments and regulators; and lead multi-disciplinary deal teams. Candidate profile: 15-20+ years of pure private equity (or growth equity with PE discipline) across origination, execution, value creation and exits, with a track record of leading transactions as principal deal lead, board service, and realised exits. Infrastructure experience strongly preferred; Africa highly valued. Expert-level valuation, LBO/growth modelling, structuring, and transaction documentation skills. Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent); MBA, MSc, CFA a plus. Fluent English; French a strong advantage. Based in Casablanca, Morocco with possible flexible remote working arrangements. Genuine commitment to sustainable development and the highest ethical standards.
