WWF-Myanmar is now inviting applications for the “Micro-Business Plan Development Consultancy” to work for 30 days in Ayeyarwady Region.

Background of consultancy assignment/ Project
The project aims to build capacity of 50 Community Forest User Groups (CFUG) to develop bankable and simple micro-business plans and to establish a sustainable financing mechanism by linking with financial facilities.
The assignment will deliver business plan development training directly to 100 CFUG members in the Ayeyarwady Region and provide technical support to refine their individual business plans to meet the requirement for start-up fund applications. The consultant will share responsibility for evaluating the business plans to identify the most viable business entrepreneurs for the award of start-up funds. In addition, the consultant will lead the process of linking selected entrepreneurs with financial facilities.
Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for the following key pillars:
Pillar 1- Capacity Building Training
Pillar 2- Business Plan Evaluation and Selection
Pillar 3- Foster Linkage to financial facilities for Sustainable Financing Mechanisms
Duration of the assignment
The contract duration will be from the first week of August to December 2026. The total working days should not exceed 30 days during the assignment period. The consultant will be carrying out some visits to the Ayeyarwady Region

Required Profile and Expected Qualifications
- A master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Economics, Rural Development, Forestry Economics, or a closely related field. (OR) A Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of high-level field experience in micro-enterprise development.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in developing micro-business plans, incorporating with the Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework.
- Proven track record of working with CFUGs, cooperatives, or rural associations.
- Demonstrated experience in linking rural entrepreneurs or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with financial facilities and a deep understanding of loan application processes and sustainable financing mechanisms.
- Extensive experience in capacity building and adult learning methodologies, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into non-technical language for rural participants.
- Ability to design objective Scoring Matrices and evaluation frameworks for business viability.
- Experience in developing "Road Maps" for organizational development (e.g., forming Community Forest-Based Enterprise (CFE), cooperatives or associations).
- Excellent report-writing skills and high proficiency in drafting professional technical reports.
- Previous experience working in the Ayeyarwady Delta or similar coastal regions in Myanmar is highly preferred.
- Fluent Myanmar (written and spoken) is required for training delivery and manual development, while professional English proficiency is needed for project reporting and communication.
