WWF's conservation teams across the globe rely on robust, secure cloud infrastructure. As Senior Cloud Engineer, you will manage mission-critical infrastructure that supports conservation programs, enabling WWF-US and its Country Offices across South America, Central America, Africa, and Asia to operate seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Azure infrastructure: spin up subscriptions, provision resources, and build and deploy VMs (Windows, SQL, Red Hat, firewalls) in production and staging.
- Security and identity: configure Microsoft Entra tenants, manage SSO through Azure Enterprise Apps, maintain RBAC and user groups, patch systems proactively, and automate tasks with PowerShell and Graph API.
- Backup and disaster recovery: design backup strategies and disaster recovery playbooks.
- Networking: troubleshoot networking across VNETs, sites and tenants, including firewalls, load balancers and DNS (Azure and Cloudflare).
- Be the go-to expert for complex Azure, Entra ID and M365 issues; lead projects end-to-end and keep technical and non-technical stakeholders informed.
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work for critical outages or planned maintenance.
Requirements:
- Degree in IT or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of work experience (at least 6 years in IT).
- Verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish (must have).
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise IT systems and highly available, resilient Azure production systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, cloud networking, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Windows and Linux servers.
- Proficiency managing Windows domains and Active Directory.
- Expertise in PowerShell and Graph API for Azure management, workflow automation and deployment orchestration.
- Familiarity with provisioning and managing access for Fabric, Power BI and Azure Foundry; experience integrating Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio and Copilot Agents, including governance of data access controls.
- Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills across cloud and hybrid systems.
- Strong organizational, documentation and project management skills; commitment to a culture of inclusion.
