Human Concern International (HCI) has delivered emergency relief and aid to families in over 40 countries for more than 40 years. As Fundraising Officer in Calgary (full time, 37.5 hours per week, reporting to the Fundraising Manager), you will be HCI's focal point of contact in the community, increasing brand awareness, building partnerships and raising funds.

Key responsibilities:
- Outreach and relationship management: represent HCI as a community ambassador in Calgary, cultivate relationships with major donors, community leaders and partners, use social media to amplify campaigns, identify high-net-worth individuals, build partnerships with schools and universities, and collaborate with other NGOs.
- Fundraising: develop and execute fundraising strategies, design campaigns (direct mail, online giving, peer-to-peer, major gifts), set and track fundraising goals, and analyze donor data.
- Event management: plan and run community events, coordinate volunteers and stakeholders, and assess outcomes.
- Volunteer coordination: recruit, train and manage volunteers.
- Youth engagement: develop youth-focused initiatives.
- Grants and funding: identify local grant opportunities, prepare proposals and build relationships with local foundations.
- Data management and compliance: track donor information and ensure compliance with HCI standards.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary qualification in events planning, fundraising, project management or a related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
- Experience in fundraising, sales or event planning, ideally in a non-profit.
- Proven track record in community activism and volunteering.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer-focused approach.
- Strong prioritization and time management.
- Fluency in English; French or another language is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle essential.

Offer: salary of 55,000-60,000 CAD annually, benefits package, RRSP contributions, paid time off and professional development. Some travel, evening and weekend work required.
