This is a remote-global role. The hiring team is considering candidates wherever CRS is registered to work. CRS does not sponsor visas for remote employees. Pay range (US-based applicants and International Assignees): $95,173 - $117,498 annually; staff hired on local payroll follow the respective country pay range.
Job Summary
You will contribute to strategy development in Digital Health Solutions for the anticipated Continuity of Integrated Health Services (CIHS) project, a multi-country initiative supporting Guinea, Liberia, Mali, and Togo, with significant digital health and data systems components. You will provide technical advice and leadership in the design, deployment, scale-up and sustainability of digital health solutions and the overall digital health architecture, while building the capacity of CIHS country teams and host governments in managing large-scale digital health systems. You will serve as a focal point for a project geographic area as needed, in line with CRS program quality principles, donor guidelines and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of CIHS strategies, standards, tools and best practices in Digital Health Solutions, engaging partners, donors and governments. Support country teams and government counterparts in business process analysis, requirements documentation, and translating programmatic needs into digital health system specifications.
- Provide technical solutions and leadership to country teams, Ministries of Health and other government stakeholders to strengthen the design, implementation, scale-up, interoperability, governance and sustainability of digital health and health information systems.
- Contribute to proposal development and project design for strategic growth opportunities in Digital Health Solutions; support country programs with staffing, workplans, budgets and reports.
- Lead capacity strengthening initiatives in the startup, implementation and scale-up of digital health initiatives, including solution design, system configuration and deployment, mobile device management, user support, training, and the collection, analysis, visualization and use of health data. Mentor and coach technical advisors and country program staff.
- Lead aspects of the agency knowledge management and learning agenda in digital health, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Represent CRS in regional and global digital health forums to influence partners, funding opportunities and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in international development, international relations or a relevant technical area; Master's is a plus.
- Minimum ten years of work experience in digital health systems and solutions with progressive responsibility, ideally with an international NGO, including three years overseas in multiple regions as a technical advisor and/or program manager on a digital health systems project.
- Experience with HMIS, EMR, supply chain or related tools at district or larger scale; monitoring and evaluation experience; strong training, mentoring, facilitation, communication and relationship management skills.
- English required; bilingual English and French strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%. No supervisory responsibilities. Full time.
