Lead protection monitoring and rapid assessments in Ayod to identify protection risks, service gaps, and changes in the protection environment. Provide reliable analysis to inform response, advocacy, referrals, and community engagement. Key responsibilities include developing monitoring plans and conducting regular field monitoring, rapid assessments, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations; ensuring safe, inclusive, and confidential data collection, including informed consent and appropriate handling of sensitive information; reviewing, cleaning, analysing, and triangulating data to identify protection risks, trends, vulnerabilities, and service gaps; preparing concise monitoring reports, updates, and alerts with clear findings, limitations, and practical recommendations; ensuring safe and confidential referrals for individuals requiring support, with consent; using approved data-collection and information-management systems; and supporting field teams through coaching while coordinating with Protection, Programme, and MEAL colleagues. Requirements: degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field (relevant diploma with substantial experience may be considered); minimum 2 years of relevant humanitarian protection experience, including monitoring, rapid assessments, or protection analysis; experience conducting KIIs, FGDs, observations, and handling sensitive information safely; strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis, reporting, and communication skills; experience with Excel and digital data-collection tools such as KoboToolbox; knowledge of protection information management principles is an advantage; and willingness and ability to travel to remote locations under approved security arrangements. National contract position based in Ayod (non-relocatable). Salary and conditions in accordance with DRC's Terms of Employment for national employees.
