Location: Chuil, South Sudan
The SGBV Officer will support the effective implementation of SGBV prevention and response activities and ensure the provision of quality, confidential, and survivor-centred case management services to SGBV survivors. Working closely with the SGBV Assistant/Psychosocial Counsellor, Prevention Officers, community focal points, and other relevant stakeholders, the officer will provide technical guidance, supervision, mentoring, and capacity building to staff and community-based structures involved in SGBV prevention and response, while also supporting GBV risk mitigation and strengthening referral pathways and inter-agency coordination. Key responsibilities include providing survivor-centred case management in line with IASC guiding principles, maintaining confidential records and the DRC case management system/GBIMS, supporting data analysis, preparing work plans, supervising and training SGBV assistants and community volunteers, organizing awareness-raising activities, leading inter-agency case conferences, and contributing to progress and monthly reports. Requirements: minimum 2 years of relevant humanitarian experience in South Sudan, preferably in SGBV/GBV/protection; demonstrated experience in case management and survivor-centred approaches; strong mentoring, coaching, and facilitation skills; a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Social Sciences, or related field preferred; fluency in English and Arabic required, Nuer desirable.
