Under the direct supervision of the MEAL Manager, the MEAL Officer will support the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities in Ayod County. The position contributes to ensuring programme quality, accountability and evidence-based decision-making by monitoring programme implementation, tracking project indicators, supporting data collection and analysis, conducting data quality checks, and facilitating community feedback mechanisms. Key responsibilities include supporting MEAL plans and indicator tracking, conducting field monitoring visits, post-distribution monitoring, assessments and surveys; promoting and managing Community Feedback Mechanisms; compiling and analysing monitoring findings and lessons learned; and supporting capacity-building of programme staff on MEAL tools and processes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health, International Development or a relevant field; minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in MEAL, preferably within humanitarian or development programmes; experience with INGOs/NGOs; practical experience with digital data collection platforms such as KoboToolbox, ODK or CommCare; good understanding of accountability principles and the Core Humanitarian Standard; proficiency in Microsoft Office; professional working proficiency in English. Desirable: experience in Protection and Economic Recovery sectors, familiarity with Power BI or ArcGIS, and MEAL-related certification.
