FHI 360 seeks an EpiC Kyrgyz Republic Surveillance Advisor to provide strategic and technical leadership for the design, implementation, strengthening, and continuous improvement of integrated disease surveillance, outbreak detection, preparedness, and response systems in the Kyrgyz Republic. Reporting to the EpiC Kyrgyz Republic Associate Director Technical, the Advisor will work with government counterparts, technical institutions, academic organizations, and development partners to strengthen event-based, indicator-based, and community-based surveillance systems; support One Health coordination; strengthen rapid response capacities; institutionalize joint risk assessment mechanisms; and enhance use of surveillance information for evidence-based decision-making. Key responsibilities include strengthening surveillance systems and SOPs, promoting One Health collaboration across human, animal, and environmental health sectors, supporting joint risk assessment and preparedness, strengthening Rapid Response Teams and outbreak investigation procedures, leading simulation exercises, and contributing technical knowledge products and program management support. Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Security, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Public Health Informatics, Biostatistics, or related field; minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience in epidemiology, disease surveillance, outbreak preparedness, or health security programs; demonstrated experience with EBS, IBS, or CBS systems; experience working with Ministries of Health and donor-funded international development programs; English and Russian fluency required, Kyrgyz an advantage. Travel: 30% within the Kyrgyz Republic. Expected salary range: USD 21,000-30,000 annual basic salary.
