The Victims and Witnesses Section (VWS), part of the Division of External Operations, Registry, provides protective measures, security arrangements, counselling and other assistance to witnesses and victims appearing before the Court. Under the direct supervision of the Analyst of the VWS Analysis Team, the Analyst Assistant will: assist the Analyst to increase analytical capabilities of the VWS to ensure efficiency of the ICC Protection Programme and safety of victims and witnesses; monitor and review security situations in ICC areas of operation with a focus on incidents related to victims and witnesses, and collect information from various sources; securely register collected information and intelligence; draft reports and give presentations; review confidential documents and redact sensitive information; translate confidential documents and/or provide interpretation during calls with protected witnesses; provide analytical support to Senior Managers and Team Leaders in the Analyst's absence; and protect the safety, wellbeing, dignity and privacy of victims and witnesses. Essential qualifications: Diploma of Secondary Education (advanced degree may substitute for up to two years of experience); minimum ten years' work experience in positions officially identified as analysis or government intelligence analysis; experience with large-scale situations and international experience desirable. Requires strong analytical and reasoning skills, excellent drafting and presentation skills, advanced computer skills, ability to handle confidential and voluminous records, and proficiency in French or English (working knowledge of the other desirable; knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish an asset). This is a General Service category post recruited on a local basis; candidates must meet employment and immigration requirements for the Netherlands.
