The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), an award-winning pan-European think tank conducting independent research on European foreign and security policy, seeks a part-time Working Student to support the European Security Programme's event management, logistics and research activities. The role offers hands-on experience in research and in planning and coordinating events within an international non-profit organisation.

Main responsibilities:
- Assist in organising events, including preparing participant lists, sending invitations, tracking registrations and liaising with attendees
- Support research and follow relevant debates and monitor political developments related to the programme's work
- Handle logistical tasks such as coordinating with venues, hotels and catering companies
- Monitor and respond to the general programme inbox, ensuring timely and accurate communication with partners and participants
- Update and maintain the programme's contact database

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in Political Science, International Relations, Event Management or a related field at a German university or higher education institution (graduates are not eligible)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong critical thinking, research and analytical skills
- Proactive and flexible attitude, willing to take on varied administrative and logistical tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational team
