The Logistics and Operations Support Officer plans, coordinates, and supports logistics and operational activities to ensure effective delivery of organizational programs and services for the REACH Malaria Project. The role oversees transportation, inventory, training coordination, procurement support, and administrative operations while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Management: coordinate transportation arrangements for staff, goods, and equipment; process fuel advance requests and liquidations; monitor vehicle utilization and maintenance; track project stock records and asset registers; ensure timely delivery and distribution of project supplies.
Operations Support: assist in planning and coordinating operational activities; support office administration and field implementation sites; coordinate meetings, workshops, and field travel arrangements; maintain accurate operational documentation.
Procurement Support: assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations; prepare purchase requests and orders; follow up with vendors; maintain procurement files; compile training payment documents.
Reporting and Documentation: prepare periodic logistics and operations reports; maintain inventory, asset, and vehicle management records; monitor logistics performance indicators.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, operations, or supply chain management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic.
