The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. The GGGI Internship Program gives students and recent graduates practical experience in areas relevant to GGGI's operations, within a multicultural environment.
GGGI is looking for an intern to join its Paraguay team in Asunción to provide administrative and operational support. The intern will assist with event coordination, travel logistics, administrative processes, records management, and procurement and finance documentation. Internship duration: 01/10/2026 to 31/03/2027 (at least three and up to six months).
Responsibilities include:
- Support the logistics of workshops, conferences, meetings and other project-related events in Paraguay.
- Assist with participant registration, attendance tracking and event documentation.
- Support travel arrangements, hotel bookings, transportation coordination and related documentation.
- Support the organization and maintenance of project files and operational records.
- Assist in maintaining supporting documentation for administrative, procurement and finance processes.
- Support administrative and office-related tasks.
- Assist the FCS team with basic operational and coordination activities.
- Support the coordination of suppliers and service providers for project events and activities.
Eligibility:
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (final year), Master's or PhD program prior to the internship, or have graduated from a bachelor's degree program within the last 12 months, in business administration, finance, economics, human resources, international relations or a related field.
- Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to international organizations' work.
- Excellent command of English.
Qualifications:
- Citizen of Paraguay or holder of a valid work permit in Paraguay.
- Experience working in a team and in multicultural settings, with the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel or similar, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to prepare written reports and business correspondence in Spanish and English.
- Proactive, creative, high integrity, with a keen interest in developing structured processes for quality assurance of event-related activities.
Reporting: The intern reports to the Finance, Procurement and Administration Associate and works closely with the GGGI Paraguay team.
Terms: Monthly stipend of USD 500 (unless funded by a sponsoring institution). Travel, insurance, accommodation and living costs are borne by the intern or sponsoring institution. GGGI provides a supporting letter for a visa. A certificate is provided upon successful completion on request.
