The Development Facilitator works within communities to enable mutual transformation in the lives of children, families, supporters, partners and World Vision staff, serving as a catalyst, partnership broker, and capacity builder of local partners to strengthen community-led initiatives for child wellbeing. Major responsibilities include ensuring effective communication of World Vision's identity and approach to development; understanding local context including government perspectives; mobilizing and strengthening community groups and stakeholders; building relationships through home visits and community immersion; ensuring programme quality through planning, implementation and monitoring; documenting progress and lessons learnt for reports to management and donors; conducting community awareness on sponsorship; ensuring efficient utilization of resources; leading implementation of technical projects within budget and timeline; and pursuing self-development. Required qualifications: at least 4 years of experience in Community Development or Programme/Project Coordination, preferably in an INGO context; a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Development Studies, Community Development or related field (or equivalent WV-facilitated learning with 6 years experience); experience in capacity building for local stakeholders and working with children; basic knowledge of child protection, nutrition/health, livelihoods, resilience, advocacy and cross-cutting themes such as gender, environment, disability and child participation; networking and partnering skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in Tamil and English; and ability to ride a motorbike with a valid license.
