World University Service of Canada (WUSC) is a leading Canadian international development organisation focusing on Economic Opportunities, Education, and Empowerment, working in over 25 countries. The GRIT Project (Growth, Resilience, Investment and Training) is a 6-year collaborative initiative building a gender-responsive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sri Lanka's North.
The Senior Program Manager (SPM) oversees the regional programme and operational implementation of the GRIT project in Sri Lanka, focusing on service delivery to GRIT project participants, managing relationships with local government, partners, civil society and the private sector, and acting as the link between field-level work in the Northern Province and national-level decision-making in Colombo. Responsibilities span partner relations, project management, M&E, HR/volunteer management, financial and office management, and donor/stakeholder coordination.
Qualifications:
- Master's in international development, business administration, finance or other relevant area
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible assignments managing development initiatives
- Experience in entrepreneurship ecosystem support and gender lens investing; private sector engagement in development programming
- Experience managing technical advisors and working with international development donor agencies
- Working proficiency in English and Tamil essential; Sinhala an advantage
